About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Pangea Up Media LLC (“we”, “us”), the owner and operator of CheckMundo. By using the site you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
You must be 18 or older to use the service.
What the service is
CheckMundo lets you request and compare quotes from participating check-cashing stores.
We do not cash checks, hold or transfer money, act as a bank or lender, or decide whether a store accepts a check. We don't give financial, legal or tax advice.
Using the service is free for customers.
How requests work
- You describe your checks and choose which stores receive your request.
- We show the stores that say they serve requests like yours, listed by distance. A store may pay us a monthly fee to be listed first; we label it “Sponsored”. Paying never makes a store serve a request it otherwise wouldn't, and never changes the order of offers.
- Next to each store we may show how many different customers chose it in the last 12 months. It's a count from our records, not a rating or a recommendation.
- Those stores see your request details, but not your name or contact details.
- If you choose an offer, we give your contact details to that store only.
- You can withdraw your request at any time from your request page.
Offers and fees
Offers are prepared and sent by stores, not by us. They may be preliminary, carry conditions and expire.
The final fee and the decision to cash a check belong to the store after it verifies the check and your identification. Florida law limits the fees a licensed check casher may charge.
We don't guarantee any rate, savings, acceptance, payout or availability. Listing a store is not a recommendation.
Contact from the store
When you choose an offer, you authorize that store to contact you about your request by the method you selected (call, text or email). Your carrier's message and data rates may apply. To stop contact, tell the store and withdraw your request.
Your account
Give truthful information and keep it current. Keep your password secret; you're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away if you think someone used it without permission.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- Give false information or submit requests for another person without their authorization.
- Use the service for fraud, money laundering, stolen or altered checks, or any unlawful purpose.
- Scrape the site, interfere with how it works, or try to access other people's accounts or data.
- Harass stores, customers or our staff.
Participating stores
If you register a store, you confirm you're authorized to act for it and that it holds, and will keep current, the license required under Chapter 560, Florida Statutes.
You must post real prices and offers, follow Florida's fee limits and all applicable laws, and use a customer's details only to handle their request. You may not sell or share those details or use them for marketing without the customer's permission.
By registering you accept the marketplace rules shown on the registration form. If we ever charge for leads or other services, it will only be under a separate written agreement you accept in advance.
We review applications before approving them and may suspend or remove a store that breaks these terms or the law.
“License verified” means we checked the license on a given date; it is not an endorsement or a guarantee of the store's service.
Our content
The site, its design, text and marks belong to us or our licensors. You give us permission to use the information you submit to operate the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
Transactions are between you and the store. To the extent the law allows, we're not responsible for what a store does or fails to do, or for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or lost profits or data.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US$100). Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Indemnity
If you break these terms or the law while using the service, you agree to cover third-party claims against us that result, including reasonable attorneys' fees.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive will survive.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll show the date of the last update on this page, and announce significant changes before they take effect. Continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the updated terms.
