Who we are
Pangea Up Media LLC (“we”, “us”) owns and operates CheckMundo, a service to request and compare quotes from check-cashing stores. We are not a check casher, bank or lender.

This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have.
What we collect
When you request quotes:
- Your ZIP code, city and how far you'll travel.
- Check types, approximate amounts and how many you cash per month.
- For a business: the business name, type and time in operation.
- Your name, phone and email, and how you prefer to be contacted.
- Records of your permissions: what you agreed to, when, and the exact text shown to you.
Other information we collect
If you create an account: your name, email, preferred language and a password we store one-way encrypted (we never see it).
If you register a store: the business details, its locations and hours, its pricing, the license details you submit and your team members.
If you contact us: your message and contact details.
Limited technical data: a keyed hash of your IP address to prevent abuse, and site usage events tied to an anonymous identifier.
What we don't collect
We never ask for check images, ID images, Social Security numbers, bank account numbers or bank logins. Please don't send us that information in free-text fields.
How we use it
- To send your request to the stores you choose and show you their offers.
- To give your contact details to the store you select.
- To run your account and send service emails (verification, password resets, updates about your request).
- To review and approve stores and enforce the site rules.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, keep the service secure and improve it.
- To comply with the law and respond to valid legal requests.
Who we share it with
Stores you select: they receive your request details, without your name or contact details.
The store you choose after comparing offers: it receives your name, phone, email and preferred contact method. From then on, that store is also responsible for how it uses your information.
Service providers that process data only to provide their services to us: Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (database) and Resend (email delivery).
Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of users, stores or us.
A buyer or successor if the business is sold or merged; it will remain bound by this policy.
We don't sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
Cookies and local storage
We use only what the site needs to work. We don't use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.
- cdc_sid: keeps you signed in.
- cdc_ui: remembers which side of the site you last used (customer or store).
- cdc_store: remembers which store you picked if you manage more than one.
- cdc_ref: if you arrived from a representative's sheet, keeps their code for up to 60 days so your store sign-up is credited to them.
- cdc_anon (browser local storage): an anonymous identifier used to count site usage in our own statistics.
Your choices and rights
You can withdraw your request and your contact permission at any time from your request page.
With an account, you can download your data and correct your profile from Settings, and ask us to delete your account.
Without an account, or for any other access, correction or deletion request, email contact@pangeaup.com or use the contact page and choose “A privacy request”.
We'll verify your identity using the account or request email before acting. We aim to respond within 30 days. We may keep some information where the law requires it; for example, consent records are kept without the link to you.
We don't send you marketing emails.
How long we keep it
We delete information automatically on this schedule:
- Requests: 18 months after you submit one, we delete your name, phone, email, notes, messages and business name. We keep the rest of the request without anything that identifies you, for statistics and the stores' history.
- Accounts: if you don't sign in or use your account for 3 years, we close it and delete its personal data.
- Consent records: kept while your account is open and, after that, up to 5 years from when they were created, as proof of what you agreed to.
- Support messages: 18 months after they're resolved.
- Copies of emails we send you: 90 days.
- Anonymous usage statistics: 2 years.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see “Your choices and rights”). We may keep information longer where the law requires it or to resolve an open dispute.
Security
We encrypt connections, limit data access by role and log administrative access. No system is perfectly secure; if an incident affects your information, we'll notify you as Florida law requires.
Children
The service is only for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from minors; if you believe a minor gave us their information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Where data is processed
We operate in the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we'll update the date on this page. If the change is significant, we'll announce it on the site or email account holders before it takes effect.
